These awards are Kansas City magazine’s annual poll recognizing the best in the area in more than 300 categories. Readers vote to determine winners, and candidates cannot purchase the recognition. The goal of the awards is to recognize the people and small businesses that make our city unique.
Dr. Sheryl Young, the 2026 Best Plastic Surgeon, is among the few female plastic surgeons in Kansas City and brings personal understanding along with her professional medical training to support women’s concerns. She is interested in all areas of plastic surgery, with a particular focus on helping patients achieve their body goals with preventative skin-tightening procedures after childbirth or weight loss.
Dr. Young has received honors such as the Kansas City Business Journal’s annual “Forty under 40,” Squire Magazine’s “Top Doctors” in 1998 and 2002, and the Cosmetic Surgeon in Kansas City in the Pitch Magazine. She has also received nominations for “Super Doctor” every year since 2006.
